Kenmore Square - Boston

Fusion worked with Related Beal at their redevelopment project at One Kenmore Square. The site is located across from Fenway Park in one of the most well-known neighborhoods in Boston.

We worked closely with the team to create an amenity space that would provide tenants access to a collaboration lounge and coffee bar event space as well as a conference center and roof deck. The Amenity center is designed with a high-end hospitality feel while still providing a comfortable place for tenants to connect and unwind in the middle of a busy, energetic neighborhood.

With a nod to Fenway Park, an eye-catching green tile was used to clad the centerpiece of the amenity space – a large, curvilinear bar. The rest of the space was designed with an intentionally more muted color palette, allowing the iconic Citgo Sign just outside the full height windows to take center stage.

Different shades of wood were paired together to create interest and warmth, while pops of brass were strategically used to add sparkle. A large vintage effect mirror behind the bar reflects the views of the Fenway area back into the space with an unexpected effect. The rooftop itself boasts some of the best views in the city, including the Charles River and Fenway Park. The goal was to create a vibrant outdoor environment that takes advantage of the surrounding views.
