Meketa is a global investment consulting firm that sought out Fusion to design their Westwood location. We transformed their new office into a space that reflects Meketa’s innovative, modern and collaborative culture while offering their employees convenient access to public transportation and other amenities.

With a strong focus on wellbeing and employee experience, Meketa turned to us to guide them through relevant trends, workplace strategy and thought leadership to create a hybrid style workspace.

With an expansive window line and by designing private offices and huddle rooms to the core of the space, Meketa can offer 85% of its employee’s “window” seats to take advantage of natural light. Low panels and dividers allow light to filter through to the core spaces which are enclosed with glass to maximize natural light. Meketa desired to offer choice and flexibility, the main café is a multi-use space with the capability to offer a “town hall” experience, a working café, or a place of refuge for independent work or an easily reconfigurable space for collaboration, with easy access to the outdoors, it was also important to design outdoor lounge areas to take advantage of agreeable weather days to entice employees into the office. In addition, a second-floor coffee bar lounge was designed off the communicating stair to allow for a visual connection between the two floors.

Meketa's hybrid workstyle made huddle and meeting rooms essential to accommodate not only technology to support the hybrid worker but to offer flexibility in addition to functionality, as they grow and adapt to change within their own office needs. Every huddle space can easily turn into a private office, team meeting space, or quiet room. Adaptable furniture was key in this design. The power of choice – when to work and how to work was a common theme throughout the office design.
