Fusion was engaged by global tech company Datadog for several expansion projects at 225 Franklin Street, including a new custom communicating staircase designed to “disappear.”
The space layout for Datadog encourages collaboration in may ways. Open airy work areas area all in close proximity to traditional conference rooms as well as more casual collaborative spaces, and spaces for solo concentration.
The large café space is used throughout the day for socializing, for an alternate work zone and for large meetings. The new staircase flanks the window line and with a sleek cable rail and truss-like open web stringers allows maximum natural light to come through, and underscores the overall edgy aesthetic that the client sought for the space in general.
