Fusion was selected by Bain & Company to perform a restack and renovation if it’s Back Bay Boston headquarters. Prior to becoming “the norm” Bain & Company had always operated in a hybrid work model, with consultants often out of the office at client sites. Because of this, and in support of their culture, all employees were in the office space each Friday.
To accomplish this, careful consideration was done to ensure that every “seat” was a potential workplace. The office was designed around distinct neighborhoods with various options for open office seating, lockers, and access to meeting space.
Partner offices were downsized to allow for more collaborative and open space, but provided with premium finishes. And Manager offices were fitted with furniture solutions that allowed for meeting use when not occupied.
Each neighborhood was branded with a subtle Boston story such as the Swan Boats, Fenway and the Aquarium. A large atrium space was repurposed from office use to a larger coffee bar and common gathering space for all employees to enjoy.
